Battle of Trafalgar 200

Its unplanned ok. Went to porstmouth yesterday afternoon. Its 200th anniversary of Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson's victory against the combined fleets of France and Spain at the Battle of Trafalgar. Plus, the home of the Royal Navy and Nelson's Flagship HMS Victory, the Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth, England, are hosting this tremendous event during the International Festival of the Sea 2005, with many 100's of naval warships & majestic tall-ships in attendance from all corners of the globe. I enjoyed the company of tis guy - martin. He's charming n funny at times. :lol_crash: :owned: :angel_fly:

Back to Admiral Lord Nelson, on Monday, October, 21st, 1805, he had written this prayer in his diary which later become so familiar.

"May the Great God, whom I worship, grant to my Country and for the benefit of Europe in general a great and glorious victory, and may no misconduct in anyone tarnish it, and may humanity after victory be the predominant feature in the British Fleet. For myself individually, I commit my life to Him who had made me and may His blessing light upon my endeavours for serving my Country faithfully. To Him I resign myself and the just cause which is entrusted me to defend. Amen, amen, amen."

May we never forget that others have died that we may live...

Trip to Oxford by Brunel International Office

The journey supposed to start at 8.45 am but bcoz they have like "British Promise" as well so our bus started to move at almost 9.30 a.m. It took about 40 minutes to reach Oxford town and upon our arrival we have been divided into small group like 20 people. Me, Leila, Kak Sue, Taps and Azman were under Anna which is also an assistant at Job Centre and our tourist guide today was an old Jewish woman - couldnt remember her name, not important anyway! We started at Breilliant College where Adam Smith (an Economist) was stayed before and till the Pure English Botanical Garden. Along the trip, she even showed us a room where Bill Clinton (a former US President) was stayed during his studying years in Oxford University. After that, we are allowed to be on our own. There u go, we got a chance to go to the place where once Harry Potter movie was filmed. We went to the dining hall and the whatever- i dunno remember the place name but once where in the film they have tis game. So, these are the photos of the day trip to Oxford. Suddenly, i thought bout my former supervisor for final year proj. whn i was in undergrad, En. Izani. He was graduated from Oxford Uni doing AI! En. Izaniiiii.......if only i remember ur no :( , how proud im to tell u all these! :->
